If they made an alternate version of Nanoha where she makes different choices and justifiedly ends up hooked with Hayate, would you like it?
Would you watch a Hibiki x Chris retelling of Symphogear if it expanded the story?
I suppose you would, but I sure as heck wouldn't.
Why? Because the Nanoha/Hibiki/etc... I became fond of is the one that lived through certain experiences and fell in love with a specific soulmate.
I realize that, logically speaking, it's just another story to enjoy with a character that looks and acts the same, but I just can't hit the reset button on something I've felt strongly about.
Basically there's a difference in how we enjoy this kind of stories; that doesn't mean one of us has to be wrong, why must every dissent become an argument?
